Benefits of Donating:

Maintenance
The biggest expense we incur is maintaining the memorial year round. Donations cover the cost of flowers, plants and garden supplies. The purchase of specialized sand sculpture sand and expenses for the sculptors and fees associated with the fundraising cause. This is a fully volunteer organization.
Flags
We purchase approximately 200 flags per year and about six large flagpole flags. 1,000 flags are planted adjacent to the boardwalk prior to September 11th each year.
Expenses to Community Organizations
ACFD Sandpipers Pipes and Drums, Last Salute and Absecon VFW are all reimbursed for any expenses they incur during the ceremony. Insurance costs, event fees, potential lodging for speakers and singers.
Future Recognition Goal
We are proposing a wall with the names of all New Jersey residents who died on September 11, 2001.
