ATLANTIC COUNTY EXECUTIVE OFFICE
1333 Atlantic Ave., Atlantic City, NJ 08401
September 12, 2019
Dear Bob & Pam:
It was my honor to join you at the annual Saracini-O’Neill Atlantic City 9/11 Memorial as we remembered the 2,996 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and specifically those from our own community, including Victor Saracini, John O’Neill, Andrew Alameno and Patricia Cody. This event helps ensure that none of them will ever be forgotten. It is also an opportunity to acknowledge the dedicated first responders who put the safety and welfare of others before their own.
Over the nine years you have held this event at Jackson Avenue and the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, it has grown from 25 attendees to nearly 500 and now features distinguished speakers and honorees, the Atlantic City Police Department honor guard, the Atlantic City Sandpipers Pipes and Drums, a three round Civil War cannon volley and a 40-ton sand sculpture, against the backdrop of a 30’ x 60’ American flag suspended between two ladder trucks.
On behalf of our citizens, you have our sincere gratitude and appreciation for helping to create this solemn memorial and coordinate this important annual event, “Lest We Forget.”
Sincerely,
Dennis Levinson
County Executive
